The hair cut and colour trends an expert predicts will be everywhere in spring

With winter in the rear view mirror and warmer days on the horizon, we're taking the opportunity to familiarise ourselves with all the freshest cuts and colours the season has to offer. 

We've been committed to low maintenance looks like the low contrast hair trend through the cooler months, but spring is presenting a unique opportunity to play with our tresses. And all from the comfort of our favourite hair salons. 

But we're not going in blind, we're arming ourselves with information on all the latest hair cut and colour trends, as forecasted by hair expert and Edwards&Co Founder Jaye Edwards.

Slavic Doll Blonde

"Slavic doll blonde is all about a luminous, almost porcelain blonde with a soft, polished finish," says Edwards.

"We’re seeing this come through as clients lean into high-impact, statement blondes — a polished contrast to the more lived-in blondes we’ve seen dominating in recent seasons," he explains.

Sunset Blonde

Sunset blonde brings together soft honey, peach and golden tones for a blonde that feels rich and dimensional, the hair expert tells us.

"For spring, we’re seeing a move towards warmer, softer blondes that feel healthy and effortless rather than overly cool or icy."

Hazel Bronde 

Hazel bronde blends soft brunette and golden blonde tones for a natural, expensive looking colour with plenty of dimension.

"It’s trending for spring, because it gives you that lighter, brighter feeling without committing to a full blonde, perfect for a more low-maintenance colour," says Edwards.

Apricot Copper

"This Apricot Copper brings together warm peach and copper tones for a fresh colour that feels playful without being too bright," he explains.

"The softer take on copper feels really fresh for spring, when clients tend to want warmer, more luminous tones that catch the light."

The Odessa A'zion Curl Cut

"Inspired by Odessa A’zion, this curly cut has movement, softness and just the right amount of undone texture," the Edwards&Co founder tells us.

"It taps into the spring shift towards hair that feels effortless and individual, with texture and movement taking priority over overly structured cuts."

The Supermodel Side Part

PSA: The side part is back. Think: big, bouncy volume, soft layers and that effortless 90s supermodel finish, polished, but never too perfect.
