Olivia Dean's ethereal Grammys hair was the work of a $30 brush you can grab on Amazon Australia
Our 2026 'Best New Artist' winner also deserved 'Best Sculpted Curls'
So we're all obsessed with Olivia Dean now, right? We can admit that? Great. We've obviously got her music on repeat, but we're also pretty preoccupied with her incredible hair. Full of life, just like Dean herself, her curls always look hydrated, bouncy and simply stunning.
So when Dean graced the Grammys carpet with her presence, we held out hope that we'd soon get a breakdown of exactly what goes into styling her already iconic hair. And luckily, we've been blessed with just that, in the form of wisdom from her brilliant hair artist, Rachel Polycarpe.
The best bit? The routine even includes an affordable hairbrush and a few products you might already know/love/own...

Polycarpe shared with WhoWhatWear that she had "bold, feminine, and unapologetically full" hair on the brain while creating Dean's striking Grammys look, and that's the only kind of hair we want from this point on.
To style, she started off with a little bit of the Olaplex No.9 Bond Protector Nourishing Hair Serum ($54 at Adore Beauty), allowing her to detangle, smooth and add heat protection in one hit.
After blow-drying Dean's hair, Polycarpe then applied the Olaplex No.7 Bonding Oil ($54 at Adore Beauty) to add extra silkiness, before curling, following with a spritz of the Olaplex No.4D Clean Volume Detox Dry Shampoo ($43.20, down from $54 at Amazon Australia) for performance-worthy volume once the curls were complete.
Polycarpe also revealed via Instagram that she relied upon the Tangle Teezer The Ultimate Detangler Chrome Detangling Hairbrush ($30.77 at Amazon Australia) to soften the ringlets created. "I wanted to capture that sense of drama and movement, big volume, soft curls, and a natural confidence, but modernise it so it felt effortless rather than styled," she told WhoWhatWear.
Mission accomplished! And considering we can get in on Dean's look with a $30 brush from Amazon Australia, we'll be forever grateful for her choice of tools.
